i live in Pearland for a long time. My mom and dad live there to. There names are Bill and Peachie Burkett. They live now in West Point,Tx. My sister live there her name is Mindy GRITZBACH with her husband and kids.

qnd I have one correction. In the book at the library it has Mr. Brock 1891 But the marker is real old and I cleaned it one day amd it sayes Charity wife of R M Brock. He died 12-19-1911-or 1912. I wanted to put a marker but we are not sure where he was buried. info from I T Rodgers. He was in civilWar Co I

I have been living in the Pearland area for a few years now and never realized how rich its history was until I made a visit to your website.

I'm interested in researching the possible relationship between the Hastings community in Pearland, and the Hastings family who lived in Aransas County. I am the author of the history of Aransas, but am not related to the Hastings family there, or in Pearland. I'd also be interested to learn if you have any information on Marshall Whicker and/or George Ritchey, both of Brazoria County. George Ritchey, my great-grandfather, ran the store there, where his sister Kate was postmistress. George's daughter married Marshall's son, who was my grandfather.

Reading the Pearland Historical Society Newsletters recall so many formative memories of growing up in a wonderful, caring environment. I'll enjoy the stories and the pictures even more on line.

The Cook's were and are residents of Pearland for a long, long time. I am so thankful for this website. Thank you to Ray Kliesing and Mickey Mark for all the hard work you have done. What a blessing it is to all the out of towners to keep up.

Good to see Jerry Carlisle visited our website. I remember Jerry being a very good lineman on the Pearland Oilers fine team of the early sixties.
